Some more exploratory links.
One thing I have been tracking lately is the progress on Ron Howard's 'Rush.' 'Rush' is about the 76? Formula 1 season and the drama between James Hunt and Nicki Lauda. It recently began principal photography and Ron Howard has posted some great photos following the production on his Twitter.
These next couple are links to Youtube. The first is Part 1 of the video blogs for David O. Russel's 'Three Kings.' Just saw it recently and thought it was very good. The next is the link to the audio commentary of 'Boogie Nights' by Paul Thomas Anderson.
Next is an interview with Paul Thomas Anderson about 'There Will Be Blood.'
Pete Docter and Andrew Stanton working on a short film together? Yes.
Great interview with Gary Oldman about Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and other things.
The movie of the week this week is 'Breakfast at Tiffany's.' I can't believe I haven't seen a movie with Audrey Hepburn before. She's mesmerizing in this movie.
I recently saw 'The Artist,' and thought that it definitely was a great movie. Wonderfully told story; concept not the most original, but a Hollywood romantic would love this movie. Mostly, my consensus is a solid 'A,' but it's way over hyped. I don't think that creatively it pushed many boundaries, and kept thinking that in no way was this movie better than 'Toy Story 3,' 'The King's Speech' or 'The Social Network' last year. The fact that this movie has enjoyed so much success I think is more a testament to how well the Weinstein Bros bring in audiences and throw the Oscars.
Another great couple of movie posters.
Brave and John Carter.
